The Creative Dad Pod, Ep. 4: Art Meza

I had the opportunity to sit down with Adrian Huerta to record an episode of his podcast, The Creative Dad Pod, and share a bit of my creative journey and how I’ve balanced that with being a Father and now Grandfather. You can watch the complete episode on YouTube here.  https://youtu.be/mJFhEMTfYVE?si=VkEgESTEOg9keVui The episode is also available on Spotify here https://open.spotify.com/episode/3BiuvOtqcc51TLAx4mxSAq?si=xlFkXQRYQauvIlrvd94Gqw

Be Thankful

I was counting down the days to Thanksgiving and looking forward to enjoying the meal my wife puts together. My health had other plans for me. It started the night before with a dizzy spell I haven't felt since I was a kid playing on those spinning wheels at the park. I sat down moments after it began and watched the room spin in front of me. Heavy sweating, nausea and vommitting came next.  I showered and attempted to sleep it off. I later learned that could have been a big mistake. Anna asked and I agreed to stop in at urgent care the next morning and get checked out. Back on The Blvd

Lost Angels Children's Project

If you went to this year's Ventura Nationals you probably saw the beautiful custom 1936 Ford that was being raffled off. That build took a year to complete and was the work of Aaron Valencia, founder of Lost Angeles Childrens Project.  I applaud the work Aaron and others are doing to help make a positive impact in the lives of impoverished youth on L.A.'s Skid Row so you can believe I was honored and extremely humbled to hear that Lost Angel's founder, Aaron Valencia, not only digs my work but also thought I'd be able to help his amazing cause.  My Dad has told me many times, "You ain't living unless you're giving." and I agree. Being able to use...
